"Urumi holds biggest climax in Mollywood" : Prithviraj

The young superstar Prithviraj, is very excited these days after shooting the climax scene of his upcoming film "Urumi". The actor said that the scene involved more than 150 stuntmen, over 100 horses, more than 1000 extras, multiple cameras and explosives.

Prithivarj has stated that the climax scene of the movie is the most massive one in Mollywood till now. He is thrilled to be a part of this big climax sequence of Santosh Sivan’s movie. Prithviraj is now shooting at Malshej Ghats. He tweeted from there writing that it is the biggest ever climax shot taken in any Malayalam film.

Prithvi has already befriended a horse named 'Alibaba' at the sets. He rides this horse in the movie ‘Urumi’. Shankar Ramakrishnan has written the script of the movie, which will also star Tabu, Prabhu Deva and Genelia D’Souza in other pivotal roles. The film is already getting lots of attention from the Malayalam Industry circuit. It is a historical drama, which revolves around a boy, who wanted to murder the Portuguese traveler Vasco Da Gama. KJ Yesudas in a special role ‘Cleopatra’

Rajan Sankaradi is going to direct ‘Cleopatra’, a message-oriented film to be produced by TKR Nair under the banner of Pioneer Worldwide Pictures. The film would be simultaneously made in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.

The surprise element in the film for now is that the great singer KJ Yesudas is facing the camera for the first time in his career for a special role.

The regular shooting would begin in the first week of November. The first part of shooting will be in Hyderabad and later it will shift to Palakkad and Ooty. The makers are planning a schedule in Europe also.

Producer Nair says, ‘Our film would unveil the real beauty in women and her strength in India. We are making efforts to explain seven kinds of beauty in women. There will be three heroines — Aishwathi, Prema and Pooja Sharma —and it is suspense who would be the Cleopatra.” Vineeth and Manoj K Jayan are playing heroes in the film.

Thoughts on ‘Twenty:20' sequel

The latest news is that AMMA is on the plans to recreate the wonderful run of ‘Twenty:20’ by going for a sequel to the biggest hit of recent times. Actor Dileep, who was the executive producer of the movie has opened up in a recent interview that they have thoughts about a sequel to the blockbuster which is considered as the mother of all multi-starrers, with almost all the leading actors of Mollywood lining up for the movie.

Dileep says that they have already made-up a storyline, though these are early days to speak about and announce such a project.

‘Seniors’ launched at Kochi

After the thunderous hit ‘Pokkiri Raja’, director Vyshakh will start shooting for the next movie ‘Seniors’ from the first week of November. The launch of this movie featuring Jayaram, Kunchakko Boban, Manoj K Jayan and Biju Menon in lead roles, was held at Kochi this week.

The movie will have a number of heroines including Ananya. Sachi-Sethu's scripts for the movie will tell about a gang of four senior students who returns to a campus after 14 years. Jassie Gift, Alphonse and Alex Paul will be part of the music section of this humorous thriller which will have Shaji as the cinematographer. Vyshakha Raajan will produce this movie under his banner.

Collector is complete

The shoot for the Suresh Gopi movie 'Collector' which started three years back is finally complete. The movie directed by Anil C Menon which is a political thriller ran into financial troubles when its shooting was mid way. It is reported that the scriptwriter of the movie Rajesh Jayaraman has made some slight changes in the plot and added some more sequences to give it a fresher look.

Suresh Gopi plays the role of Avinash Varma, an upright tough district collector of Cochin. Basically a political action thriller, the movie will now get into theatres in another couple of months. Anil C Menon has earlier directed films like Ben Johnson, Malsaram and Rashtram of which the first was a big hit.
